Aktivaal: How One Viral Post Can Lead to Growth

Overview

Founded by Lindy Sorensen, Aktivaal is a sustainable luxury active brand based in Australia.

Designed to inspire and motivate, the brand offers a collection of luxury fitness boxes. Thoughtfully curated to deliver a gorgeous selection of fitness essentials to help start and maintain a healthy routine, Aktivaal fitness boxes are stylish and functional.

The Challenge

The rising trend of luxury fitness came at the perfect time for the brand and its founder. Lindy is a Physical Therapist by profession and have since formed a small community of women online thanks to her daily fitness tips and guided workout plans.

Since launching Aktivaal in 2017, she has since gathered over 20,000 followers on Instagram. However, the account has since plateaued with engagement averaging only 30 likes per post. It didn’t make sense.

Goals

  • Increase engagement and retention of followers

  • Drive traffic to the website

  • Manage and grow the community of active women who prefers at-home workouts

Solution

With the brand’s already-engaged following and their high interest in the topic, the main thing to do was to improve the content. We developed a content strategy to create a series of targeted posts that would encourage the followers to like and share — two important metrics to driving engagement.

Along with this, I worked with their internal marketing team to build marketing campaigns to help drive conversions from social media to their website. We launched giveaways, discounts, special offers as well as managing their growing community online.

Results

The brand increased their following and engagement by 23% within three months along with a viral post that gathered over 1,000 likes and reached over 8,000+ accounts in a span of 48 hours after publishing. To this day, that said post now has 2,900+ likes, 600+ saves, 300+ shares and counting.
